illinois. wisconsin. minnesota.
fell asleep last night listening to sufjan steven’s “come on, feel the illinoise”, staring at the view from our 18th floor view over the river in the heart of chicago. very lovely.
took a walk to millenium park to see the bean and fountain. the bean is fantastically shiny, and the fountain is probably better at darker points of day, but still kinda creepy/awesome, especially when spitting water at you.
we decided on taking 94 from chicago on out, instead of i-90. this way hitting minneapolis, and making it more direct to get to glacier national park in montana! should be gorgeous. the drive through wisconsin went pretty smoothly. i am pretty in love with the naming of places and things throughout wisconsin, i should have taken notes on them to report my all time favs, but perhaps next time.
late dinner in minneapolis with nick t and abe r was delicious and so lovely as it was pretty much a perfect night to eat outside. the photo booth at nye’s polonaise room/ polka bar didn’t quite work, so we took a couple of our own photos instead.
currently in st. cloud, to avoid direct MPLS traffic in the AM and get a little ahead, plus cheaper everything… WIN!
onward & upward…
