chicago! and all that was before.
grettings from the 18th floor of a building in the middle of the windy city! random gps-powered searches for reasonable hotels that have parking and transportation access as well as available rooms for the night landed us here. not bad!
we left columbus around 10 [eastern] this morning, and with a few neccesary stops [you know, gas, food, fireworks], a closed portion of i-65 N, and other random construction obstacles, we made it to chicago a little after 4pm [central].
columbus OH last night was lovely, a great night, the North Star Cafe where we ate dinner, by suggestion of miss Katie McA, was a win for sure. the crew we gathered had never met the rest other than the 2 fellow BRWs, but worked out really well, and there were some additional connections between them [schools, locations, etc]. shout out to jim, craig, and katie!
The drive from eastern PA to columbus was (hopefully) the most dull part of our ventures, though we did stop to see a 3.4 ton metal cowboy. and went through a couple mountains. and west virginia for about 20 minutes.
note: doylestown-ish PA is too expensive & needs to get over itself. But they have great cakes at Zakes Cafe. mmmm. didn’t quite make it to philly, but, next time. [?
Monday night, we kicked it all off @ Bomber’s on Lark in albany, joined by my Chris, Josh, and my Mom :) made it to NewPaltz-ish sometime c. 10pm, when Shirley J. Garmin [A’s GPS] needed a charge. we found our way .6 miles up the road to desination: fish drop off. Jeff took in the 4 wards living in a large water bottle, and it seems they have integrated well into the tank.

tonight is chicago, hopefully meeting up a with a few friends that i haven’t seen in a bit for dinner etc. excited!
